AN updated app is set to offer visitors to Bury St Edmunds new horizons.

The ourburystedmunds app enables visitors and locals them to find out about all the town has to offer while on the move.

The free app for iphone and Android smartphones was launched at the end of 2011 by the town centre business improvement organisation Bid4Bury which promotes Bury through the ourburystedmunds website. It was built by Jabu Designs, which has recently become a voluntary member of Bid4Bury since moving into new offices in Abbeygate Street.

App designer Kelly Pepper said: “One of the most important things with an app is to give people a reason to keep using it which is why we have made the ourburystedmunds app more interactive with more offers available through it.”
