A Bury St Edmunds business is celebrating its first Christmas in the town as winner of a best dressed festive window competition.
Nino’s, which opened on Abbeygate Street in October, has been judged by town clerk Julia Dyball to have a “perfect combination of decorations and merchandise” in its shop window.
The competition was organised by the Business Improvement District (BID) organisation OurBuryStEdmunds, which recently offered a free course in window dressing to members.
Nino’s owner, Claire Gross, said: “I’d only just opened the shop when the window dressing training was offered and as a new business it was a really worthwhile course to attend.
“I never dreamed that I would win this competition though because there are so many stunning displays this year.”
Nino’s beat off competition from runners-up Denny Brothers and Loft & Spires.
