Suffolk packaging manufacturer Caps Cases has announced it intends to create 10 new jobs and increase production space at its Newmarket headquarters after seeing a rise in demand for its products.
The family run business, which makes cardboard packaging, says it has experienced a boost in online orders with sales increasing by 5% each year for the past five years.
The firm is expanding its production space in Newmarket by 20% with work expected to be completed this month. The project has been financed through a £850,000 funding package from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.
Caps Cases has a turnover of £21m and employs 220 members of staff at the Newmarket HQ and an additional site in Glasgow.
Managing director Trevor Bissett said: “In 2016 we manufactured more than 67 million boxes. We’re now one of the UK’s largest manufactures of corrugated cardboard packaging.”
