Four care home companies based in Suffolk and north Essex have been named among the Top 20 Recommended Large Care Homes Groups by the www.carehome.co.uk website.
They include Care UK Nursing and Residential Care Services, Caring Homes Group and Healthcare Homes Group, all based in Colchester, plus Kingsley Healthcare, based in Lowestoft.
Also among the top 20 large groups are Norse Care (Services), based in Norwich, and Runwood Homes, from Benfleet, while the top 20 listing of mid-size groups includes Black Swan International, also from Norwich, and Hallmark Care Homes, based in Billericay.
The top 20 individual care homes in the East of England include: Bings Hall, Felsted; Hazeldell (Sohal Healthcare), Ipswich; Mid Meadows (Black Swan International), Frinton-on-Sea; Montana Care Home Grace and Compassion Benedictines (Grace and Compassion Benedictines), Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds; Uvedale Hall (Healthcare Homes Group), Needham Market; and Westerfield House Care, Ipswich.
The annual rankings are based on feedback from care home residents and their relatives in the form of review scores on the www.carehome.co.uk website.
Care homes are excluded from the awards if there are any compliance issues at the time of the announcement.
