East Anglian contract caterinig firm Edwards & Blake has taken over the catering at four more schools in Suffolk and Norfolk during the opening months of 2016.

The latest contract wins mean that the company is now responsible for the catering at nearly 80 schools across the East and South East.

Copleston High School in Ipswich represents the largest of the new contracts, with Edwards and Blake now serving more than 1,700 pupils and around 300 staff.

A new menu, a grab-and-go area and a sub bar are already in place and the school’s coffee shop is in line for a makeover.

Adrian Cooke, sales and operations director at Edwards & Blake, said: “We worked closely with the school to provide a service that the pupils and staff really enjoy and we’re looking forward to the next phase of our work redesigning the coffee shop and outside service point which the pupils will be fully involved with by voting for their favourite design.”

Edwards & Blake, which is based at Swaffham, has also taken over the catering at three more primary schools.

These are Worlingham CEVC Primary School near Beccles, Stradbroke Primary Academy in Gorleston near Great Yarmouth and Cobholm Primary Academy near Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, which together involve a further 700 pupils and staff.

Shirley Edwards, co-founder and director of the company, said: “Edwards & Blake is committed to providing freshly-cooked and nutritious food for all our customers and we’re looking forward to working with our new schools to provide high quality food and service that pupils and staff can enjoy every day.”
