IDEA Ltd, a joint venture between telecommunications giant BT, three universities and University Campus Suffolk and Suffolk New College has appointed new staff to drive the initiative.

Joining IDEA Ltd chief executive Dr Peter Funnell are Cecilia Nowak, as professional assistant to the chief executive, and Rachel Hulse, as co-ordinator of the IDEA apprenticeship scheme.

Dr Funnell said: “IDEA aims to design and deliver a unique skills escalator for the ICT sector and associated business solutions to support competitiveness in the digital economy.

“The skills escalator will reach from apprenticeships to undergraduate and post graduate provision and promote access to and progression through training. Cecilia and Rachel will play pivotal roles in the initial work to develop the business infrastructure for IDEA and work with customers and providers to offer world class training provision.”
