Motor retailer Evans Halshaw is hosting a Chinese New Year-themed event on Saturday, February 17, to mark the launch of its new Car Store in Ipswich.

The day’s activities will include traditional lion dancing performances and workshops, plus a Kung Fu workshop, Chinese calligraphy and fortune cookies as well as refreshments and a prize draw.

The event will run from 10.30am to 16.30pm at the purpose-build Car Store site at No 3 Crane Boulevard on the Futura Park estate in Ipswich.

Car Store is the used car brand of Evans Halshaw which is part of the Pendragon group and has around 120 franchised dealerships around the UK. The Ipswich site, the launch of which has created 36 jobs, is the 14th Car Store, with a network for 40 planned over the next few years.

Up to 300 vehicles will be stocked at the site with “virtual store” terminals also giving buyers access to more than 20,000 vehicles online. An aftersales service is also be available, with the site including a full workshop facility with accreditation for MoTs.
