ESSEX-BASED patent and trade mark attorneys Sanderson & Co are celebrating after one of their staff qualified as chartered patent and European trade mark attorney.
Chris Burnett has worked for the firm as a technical assistant since 2003 when he completed his masters degree in the management of intellectual property at Queen Mary, University of London.
The 28-year-old, from Chelmsford, has a BSc (Hons) in biochemistry from the University of Edinburgh, and is currently awaiting the results of examinations to qualify as a European patent attorney.
Mr Burnett deals with clients across a range of industries and works out of the firm's Chelmsford and Colchester offices.
“After five years of working with Sanderson & Co, three of those years in which I've been taking exams, it is great to be able to achieve this qualification, not just for me, but for the firm and our clients too,” he said.
