Nearly 1,000 farmers and growers are expected to descend on Birmingham’s international Convention Centre for the annual National Farmers’ Union (NFU) conference on February 21 and 22.
Among the ‘big guns’ expected to speak at the event are European Union Commissioner Dacian Ciolos, DEFRA Secretary of State Caroline Spelman, Business Secretary Vince Cable and Farming Minister Jim Paice.
“The NFU’s annual conference is one of the most important events in the agricultural industry calendar,” said NFU director of policy Martin Haworth. The new venue was a “stand-out” location, he added.
