An East Anglian care farm nominated for a ‘rural oscar’ is hoping for public support in its bid to win a national award.
Clinks Care Farm, based at Toft Monks, Beccles, has been nominated for the Countryside Alliance Awards. The deadline for nominations is November 13.
Care farmers Doeke Dobma and Iris van Zon said it was “tremendous” to have been nominated for the awards, which celebrate rural businesses, produce and communities.
“In order to progress to the next stage and to stand a chance of being selected, we need support from as many people as possible with different experiences of Clinks Care Farm over the years we have been working. You can do this by going to www.countryside-alliance.org/caawards by November 13,” they said.
“They want to hear stories of how we have helped and supported people and also how we have linked to the local community.”
