A Suffolk software development business has received a £25,000 grant to help accelerate its plans to develop applications for new Internet of Things (IoT) markets.
Coderus, which is based on Adastral Park at Martlesham, secured the funding from the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, as part of the Small Grant Scheme.
The company intends to use the money to support diversification into new IoT markets including the home, care, automotive and yachting sectors.
Technical CEO at Coderus, Mark Thomas, said, “This is a real boost of confidence in our business development plan.
“The grant helps to de-risk my own personal investment in Coderus, which has grown from two people to over 20 in just over five years.
“As part of our plan we aim to secure ISO 27001 accreditation plus invest in kit to develop new software services.
“The whole package will benefit existing clients including BT and Bowers & Wilkins.”
