Colchester chartered accountants firm Whittles has marked its 25th anniversary year by relocating to new offices closer to the centre of town.
Whittles has moved from its former edge-of-town riverside location to The Old Exchange in West Stockwell Street, a former telephone exchange built in 1928 in neo-Georgian style in keeping with the area.
Partner Tim Moriarty said: “It was simply a matter of good timing. We had a break in our office lease arrangements which coincided with The Old Exchange coming on to the market. We particularly liked the idea of having our own front door and being back in a more central location.”
Partner Rachel Skells added: “We are celebrating our 25 year anniversary this year and it feels appropriate to mark the occasion with a move back to the historical heart of Colchester.
“There is a real sense of regeneration in Colchester at the moment and we believe that with our new location there will be greater opportunities to be involved in the many initiatives aimed at developing the town to its full potential.”
