ESSEX-based design and branding consultancy Silk Pearce has created four striking images of well-known Norfolk and Norwich landmarks featuring specially-created letter ‘N’ 3D models as part of its distinctive design theme for this year’s 17 day arts festival.

The Colchester consultancy’s work for Norfolk & Norwich Festival 2013 (which runs from May 10 to 26) includes the programme brochure, lamppost banners, pop-up displays, staff T-shirts and other promotional materials for use in the run-up to, and during, the event.

The two Ns feature in images of Holkham beach, The Forum in Norwich, Norwich Cathedral and Happsiburgh Lighthouse.

“This year’s design theme builds on the festival’s new visual identity that was developed by Silk Pearce as part of a rebrand last year,” said Peter Silk, joint creative director at the agency.

“The brochure has been designed to encourage people to explore what is on offer but also to emphasise that the Festival involves activities, venues and stunning landscapes from the whole county, not just Norwich.”

Around 50,000 programme brochures have been printed for mailing out to individual and corporate sponsors, members and friends and for distribution through tourist offices and information points throughout the UK and overseas.

More than 165 performances of 75 shows will take place this year including a number of new commissions, world and UK premieres and involving some of the area’s unique buildings such as The Great Yarmouth Hippodrome, Britain’s only surviving total Circus Building.
