Two Suffolk companies are in the running for the Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year title in the central region of the National Business Awards.

Two Suffolk companies are in the running for the Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year title in the central region of the National Business Awards.

The Stoke by Nayland Club and Southwold Pier are among 10 businesses shortlisted for the award in the region, which covers East Anglia, the Midlands and Wales.

Also shortlisted in the region, in the Best Use of Technology in Business category, is Active Web Solutions, based at Little Blakenham, near Ipswich.

In the southern region of the awards, which includes Essex, the nominees include Maldon-based DC Electronics, in the Business Innovation of the Year category.

The southern awards are due to be announced at the London Hilton in Park Lane on July 14, with the central awards following on July 16 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
