This year’s theme at the informal team-building event, hosted by Daniel Connal Partnership (DCP), was transport, with all entries fitting within a 25m sq plot.

Rose Builders scooped top prize for its detailed cantering horse, complete with flying seaweed mane and tail, and the runners-up award went to Birkett Long for a Formula 1 racing car.

Jonathan Dennis, partner in DCP’s Colchester office said: “We host the event every year as a bit of team-building fun for our colleagues and contacts. Each year, we get some tremendous entries and it’s fantastic the level of support we receive from teams entering year on year.”

Town mayor of Frinton and Walton, Councillor Iris Johnson, accompanied by the deputy mayor, Councillor Jack Robertson, judged the competition.
