A top class golf course in the Danish capital of Copenhagen has signed an exclusive supplier agreement with a distributor for Ipswich-based grounds machinery makers Ransomes Jacobsen.

Although the 18-hole Royal Golf Center, which has been designed by the respected golf course architect - Ron Kirby, is still under construction, turf maintenance machinery deliveries have started.

Among the arrivals are Jacobsen greens, tees and fairway mowers, along with two Bernhard grinders, tractors, deep aerators and sprayers. On completion, a fleet of 40 of the latest E-Z-GO electric RXV golf cars will also be delivered.

Michael Johansen, of the firm's Scandinavian distributor Svenningsens, said: “It is going to be a facility where the course, facilities and services are first class. We are delighted to have secured this contract, which is the beginning of a long association with the club.”
