The East of England Development Agency has appointed David Morrall to a new post working as director of European and international affairs, starting in the autumn.
From October, the responsibility for the management of European Regional Development Fund operations is expected to transfer from government offices to regional development agencies like EEDA.
David will jointly manage the new European team at EEDA and the ERDF team at Go East to ensure a smooth transition to the new European funding programme. EEDA and Go East see a joint approach as being the best way to achieve a successful transfer of responsibility.
“This post and the new division that David will lead is an exciting development within EEDA,” said chief executive David Marlow.
“It signals EEDA's ambition to ensure that the East of England really maximises the opportunities from the next ERDF programme.”
