THE Ipswich office of Savills is marketing 180 acres of farmland near Woodbridge, with offers in excess of £1.5million being sought.

The land, at Debach, is fully drained, has good road access and is farmed in hand in a typical rotation.

William Hargreaves of Savills, who is handling the sale, said: “We anticipate strong interest from both local landowners and farmers but also from investors who may be based further afield.

“The land market has been particularly thin in the early part of this year and it will be interesting to see if this leads to as strong a spring market as we saw in 2012.”

Peter Start, also based at Savills’ Ipswich office, added: “At a time when investment in agricultural land is strong, this property presents an attractive opportunity. It is a good sized parcel of commercial farmland in a popular area.”
