A rare Kune Kune sow named Tiger is on the lookout for a boar of the same breed.

Tiger, who is well-loved attraction among patrons of Depden Farm Shop near Bury St Edmunds, but needs the company of a boar to start a family.

Farm shop owner Tim Freathy says she is particularly fond of humans which is typical of her breed.

Kune Kunes were originally kept by the Maoris of New Zealand and allowed to roam free around their homes.

In 1976 things were looking desperate for the Kunes, and there were very few of them left, but they are now more common. However, it is still hard to find a mate, says Tim.

Anyone who knows of a suitable candidate is asked to contact Tim at Depden Farm Shop by emailing him at Tim@depden.com.
