THE East Anglian Daily Times has once again teamed up with Larking Gowen Chartered Accountants to conduct a survey of local businesses, following the success of the inaugural survey run last summer.

Larking Gowen will be surveying around 4,000 local businesses, small, medium and large, to assess their opinions on topical issues.

Roger Girling, a partner of Larking Gowen based in Ipswich, comments: “The first survey was a great success and we are pleased to be working with our friends at the EADT again.

“Last year's results were extremely positive with improving sales, turnover and profits, plus a stable or increasing workforce.

“However, there were some common challenges facing business leaders, with widespread perceptions of increasing red tape, the necessity for longer working hours and concerns about the ability to recruit the right calibre of staff.

“Therefore, it will be interesting to find out the current health of businesses in the area this year.”

For your chance to take part, please complete the survey on-line on Larking Gowen's website at www.larking-gowen.co.uk . The survey is open for submissions until to February 2.

Results of the survey are due to be announced at a special business breakfast in Ipswich on February 27.
