East Anglian estate agents Brown & Co has launched a ‘CAP app’ designed to help busy farmers and landowners keep abreast of Common Agricultural Policy reform.
Tom Gee, Agricultural Business Consultant at its Bury St Edmunds office, said: “This new app provides an instant insight into the impact of CAP reform, ensuring users can keep up to date with developments and review the main points that have been agreed.”
Key changes, including the new Basic Payment Scheme, capping and inter-pillar transfers, are explained. Details of greening measures are highlighted, as are important dates during 2014, including deadlines for payment claims, entitlement transfers and various cross compliance measures.
The Young Farmers Scheme is covered and a list of points to consider will help businesses avoid the pitfalls and make the most of any opportunities CAP reform may bring during 2014, says Brown & Co.
