BUSINESSES are being urged not to miss out on the chance to be crowned as one of the region’s best places to work under the Best Employers Eastern Region 2012 initaitive.

Registration closes on August 31, with more than 100 businesses having already signed up to the campaign, run by recruitment specialists Pure Resourcing Solutions and psychometric testing experts eras Ltd.

The inaugural campaign is designed to find the region’s top organisations and bosses, as judged by their employees, and since the campaign launched in April, more than 3,600 employees in the region have completed the campaign survey to provide feedback on their company’s culture and values.

Lynn Walters, director at recruitment consultants Pure Resourcing Solutions, said: “The campaign is designed to showcase the diverse mix of successful businesses in our region.

“There are some truly innovative employers in our region who have created fantastic working environments and we want to celebrate and raise the profile of these companies to help attract and retain talented employees in the region.

“We want to remind businesses which have not yet signed up that it will only take five minutes to register before the August 31. We will then support them to implement the survey across their organisation.”

Businesses which have signed up so far include Adnams, Naked Wines, Benefit Cosmetics, Luminus, Suffolk Life, Accelrys, Ryan Insurance Group, TaxAssist Accountants and Neopost Ltd.

Lynn added: “Organisations of any size or from any sector can take part in the campaign, and the overall award winners will be tailored by company size.

“The online survey is easy for staff to complete. It takes less than 15 minutes and is completely confidential to staff allowing them to give honest answers that ensure the results are an authentic reflection of the working environment.”

To sign up for the campaign email bestemployers@prs.uk.com . Each company which participates in the campaign survey will receive a confidential tailored report summarising the culture, values and leadership style across the organisation, and an action plan for guidance on further development, all of which are key to an organisation’s ability to attract and retain key staff.

Businesses taking part will also be entered for a range of awards based on the survey results from employees. The awards will celebrate the businesses which excel in categories including Valuing People, Leadership and Customer Focus as well as the region’s overall Best Employers.

The campaign will culminate in a series of breakfast seminars around the region at which the awards will be presented to the winning companies, and which will also provide the opportunity for businesses to share best practice and ideas.
