BUSINESSES from across East Anglia have been signing up under an initiative to measure and promote staff motivation and engagement.

The Best Employers Eastern Region campaign was launched in March by recruitment specialist Pure Resourcing Solutions, which has offices in Ipswich, Chelmsford, Cambridge and Norwich, and talent management consultancy eras, which is based in Diss.

It offers businesses an opportunity to get free independent feedback by taking part in a survey which measures their culture, values and leadership style as perceived by their own staff.

“We are delighted with the success of this campaign so far,” said Lynn Walters, director at Pure Resourcing Solutions.

“It is our intention to culminate the campaign with a series of breakfast seminars where we will not only present awards but also share best practice.” Among the businesses already taking part in the scheme are insurance lead generation business Call Connection and the Ryan Insurance Group, both based in Ipswich.

“We wanted to take part in this campaign so we could get an independent view of what our employees thought of our company,” said Samantha Di Crescenzo, senior compliance manager at Call Connection.

“We look forward to reviewing the results and seeing how we can continually improve our offerings to our most valuable assets, our staff.”

Tim Larke, director at Ryan Insurance, added: “We wanted to benchmark ourselves locally against other businesses and use the opportunity to canvas opinion from our staff on what we do well and what we can improve to make the company as good as it can be.”

Companies of all kinds can still take part in the campaign, with the survey available until the end of August. For more information, visit www.prs.uk.com .
