INDEPENDENT department stores company Glasswells has secured a top industry award – for the sixth time in 10 years.
Glasswells, which has major home furnishings stores in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich and smaller shops in Haverhill and Saffron Walden, has again won the Associated Independent Stores (AIS) Furniture Retailer of the Year title.
Glasswells was up against competition form 270 other retailers, operating more than 600 outlets across the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands.
Each member of the AIS was invited to cast a vote, based on aspects of business including the professionalism of staff, the quality of displays and the overall shopping experience provided for customers.
Managing director Paul Glasswell said: “We’re over the moon once again with our Furniture Retailer of the Year Award.
“We all constantly work hard to help make the Glasswells shopping experience one to remember and always encourage feedback from our customers; it’s pleasing that this continues to be recognised.”
