The week-long event takes place at London’s Olympia from Tuesday, August 13, to Saturday, August 17, and is expected to attract more than 55,000 visitors who will get to sample over 800 beers from around the UK, international brews from Belgium, Germany, Italy, and the USA, as well as traditional ciders and perries.

“There really has never been a better time to discover real ale, with over a thousand breweries in the UK producing over 5000 different beers. In fact the choice is so great that this year we have taken the decision to feature just a single beer from most breweries, in order to represent the largest number of breweries as possible from across the UK,” said CAMRA chief executive Mike Benner.

Unusually-named beers such as A-Pork-A-Lypse, will vie with a Double Chocolate and Bacon Porter produced by Brain’s Brewery in Wales, and north Suffolk’s St Peter’s Brewery’s Grapefruit Wheat Beer as the tipple of choice among discerning beer drinkers. Also featured are more established styles such as Dissolution IPA”, brewed by West Yorkshire’s Kirkstall brewery, or Fuller’s of London’s classic ESB.

Beers from Suffolk are: Adnams Ghost Ship; Bartram’s Comrade Bill Bartram’s Egalitarian Anti-Imperialistic Soviet Stout; Earl Soham Sir Roger’s Porter; Green Jack Orange Wheat; Greene King 5X; Greene King Belhaven Black; Greene King Hurdy Gurdy; Greene King IPA Gold; Greene King IPA Reserve; Greene King Old Golden Hen; Greene King Revolver and St Peter’s Grapefruit Beer.

Beers from Essex which will feature include: Brentwood Chockwork Orange; Crouch Vale Citra; Pitfield Chococino; Farmer’s A Drop of Nelson’s Blood; George’s Broadsword; Growler Brewery, Nethergate Umbel Magna; Mighty Oak Oscar Wilde; Red Fox Coggleshall Gold; Wibblers Apprentice;
