Suffolk and Essex law firm Prettys has raised £625 for the Papworth Trust by supporting the charity’s Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way campaign.

The initiative was designed to encourage more people to make a will while also raising money for the trust’s work with disabled and older people.

Gavin Chappell-Bates, the charity’s major donor and legacy fundraiser, said: “This is the second year Papworth Trust has run a will-writing campaign and we would like to thank everyone who supported it.

“We were delighted to work with so many solicitors across the East of England and the final total raised from the campaign will make such a difference to the lives of the disabled and older people we support on a daily basis.”

Zoe Hodge, a partner at Prettys, added: “We were only too pleased to support this worthwhile campaign, which has both a fundraising and awareness-raising message at its heart.”

The will campaign was also supported by solicitors Goodwin Cowley, which raised £595 from its Beccles and Lowestoft offices.
