EAST Anglian electrical contractor Electrical Installation Solutions Ltd (EIS) is strengthening its senior management team with two key new appointments to its board of directors.

Clive Veal has been appointed as technical director while Wayne Bonney joins EIS as engineering director. Mr Veal will head up the technical side of the business while Mr Bonney is responsible for on-site engineering and key account management for some of the contractor's major clients.

Before joining EIS, Mr Veal worked for a number of major contractors in the eastern region. He has a strong knowledge and understanding of electrical and electronic control systems in both control and automation fields. His chief role will be to underpin the engineering staff working on complex processing and industrial sites and manage the company's accreditation with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors (NICEIC).

Mr Veal is an affiliate member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Away from work he is an enthusiastic runner who has completed a number of full marathons.

Mr Bonney has been with EIS since shortly after its formation. During that time he has been responsible for overseeing major aspects of the company's rapid growth, and is responsible for major projects and quality installation assurance.

Mr Bonney, who lives in Peterboroughand competes in his spare time in white water canoeing, served an industrial electrical apprenticeship with a local contractor, working up to technician status before joining EIS as site manager.

EIS has its head office in Downham Market, and operational branches in Bury St Edmunds, Long Sutton and Wisbech.

EIS managing director Steve Neeves said: “I am delighted to welcome Clive and Wayne to the board. The appointment of two additional directors to further strengthen our senior management team highlights our commitment to continued growth through difficult macro economic conditions.

“The business has enjoyed continuous sustained growth since its formation in 2006 on the back of tremendous team spirit and commitment and we are positioning the company to continue that.”

In addition to the two new appointments EIS has extended its mechanical division.

Mr Neeves said: “We are now able to offer a full mechanical and engineering capability for the industrial and commercial markets. This enables EIS to offer an electrical design and installation package from the main switch-rooms to final power and lighting circuits.

“We can also provide a mechanical services design and installation package including process pipe-work, steam, water and general fabrications.”
