Robert Hatch, senior partner at Ensors Chartered Accountants, quickly found his sea legs when he paid a visit to the cast of regional theatre company Eastern Angles’ Christmas show, Holy Mackerel!

Ensors has continued its long-standing sponsorship of the group’s festive season offering, which runs at the Sir John Mills Theatre in Ipswich until January 9, the Seckford Theatre at Woodbridge School from January 12 to 23 and the Key Studio in Peterborough from January 26 to 30.

Holy Mackerel!, produced in association with the Shanty Theatre Company and directed by Tim Bell, retells the tale of the Newlyn Fish Riots of 1896 when Cornish fishermen clashed with rivals from Lowestoft who were travelling down to Cornish waters to take advantage of the locals’ ban on fishing on Sundays.

Mr Hatch said: “As ever, we are very proud to sponsor Eastern Angles’ Christmas Show and welcome Tim and the crew from Shanty Theatre Company to East Anglia.”
