The new offices of Essex Chambers of Commerce have been officially opened by Prof Anthony Forster, vice chancellor at the University of the Essex.
The Chambers’ new premises are located within the Parkside Office Village at the University’s Knowledge Gateway complex on its Colchester campus. The Knowledge Gateway is a research and technology park aimed at nurturing knowledge-based enterprises in science, technology and the creative sector.
There are currently more than 20 companies based at the site and further development is underway in order to attract more start-ups to the park.
Chief executive of Essex Chambers of Commerce, Denise Rossiter, said: “As the world of business becomes ever more innovative, we believe being within the Essex Knowledge Gateway Complex is a positive move and an opportunity to develop stronger links with one of the UK’s top universities.”
