Essex: More jobs at debt collection and evictions specialist Shergroup

BUSINESS solutions provider Shergroup is expanding its team in Essex, and targeting new markets with the launch of a new office in the United States.

Shergroup, which is based in Braintree, provides a wide range of services from revenue management, debt recovery, transcription and legal services to evictions, security and training.

It is now doubling its Braintree-based sales team, by taking on four more employees, and has set up a new office in the US as part of the expansion of its outsourcing and technology divisions.

Shergroup has been diversifying over the past couple of years and its office in India, which provides administrative support for the group, also provides transcription services to lawyers, accountants, surveyors and other professionals. Other business clients include banks, local authorities and utility companies.

Chief executive Claire Sandbrook said: “As a progressive business, we are always looking at different ways of helping other firms to combat some of the issues they face.

“These include recovering money that’s owed to them, through our legal company Sherwins and through the High Court enforcement system.

“One of the most successful areas of our business has been the introduction of online forms, via www.shergroup.net to make debt collection easy for clients. Using a combination of our operational experience and our technology team, based in India, we have been able to build a process for developing online forms and payment portals to make it easy to instruct any part of Shergroup.”

She added: “We also have an excellent reputation for our work up and down the land in removing squatters, travellers and protestors, including those who form part of the Occupy movement. Our skilled security team then move on to a site to prevent re-entry.”
