COLCHESTER brand development and design agency Silk Pearce has developed a new visual identity and website for Studio Thadian Pillai, the Chelmsford-based environment art and landscape and garden design practice.

Thadian Pillai specialises in large-scale art works and the website has been designed to showcase some of its high-profile projects, complemented by a new logo and typography for its stationery.

Featured projects include “Hide”, on display at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and “Cascade of Light”, commissioned by the Southbank Centre for the Royal Festival Hall in London.

A series of six printed postcards with images of recent works, overprinted with descriptive phrases and geometric shapes, have also been designed by Silk Pearce for use as direct mailers and to drive up new business enquiries.

“Silk Pearce’s new design for our website and recommended visual style are pitched perfectly to showcase our work and to help Studio Thadian Pillai present a more unified approach across all our communications,” said Thadian Pillai, the studio’s principal designer.

“Silk Pearce completely understood the emotive and considered approach we take from our first meetings, and the whole process of working together with the design team has really helped accelerate our business development programme.”

One of the studio’s most recent appointments is to work with English Heritage at Chelsea Fringe 2013, from May 25 to June next year, a festival of garden-related projects across London and beyond.
