Vehicle retailer Evans Halshaw is to open a new Car Store in Suffolk this week, in a move which has created 36 jobs.

The new outlet, on the Futura Park estate on the edge of Ipswich, will stock up to 300 cars with “virtual store” terminals also giving potential buyers acceess to more than 20,000 vehicles online.

An aftersales service will also be available, with the site including a full workshop facility with accreditation for MoTs.

Car Store is the used car brand of Evans Halshaw which is part of the Pendragon group and has around 120 franchised dealerships around the UK.

The Ipswich site, where the team will be led by head of business Serena Richardson, is the 14th Car Store, with a network for 40 stores across the UK planned over the next few years.
