Life sciences business Sanofi has held a number of events this month to celebrate the 35th anniversary since the start of operations at its Haverhill site.

They included a visit from David Griffiths-Johnson from the Office for Life Sciences who was given a tour of the facilities before hearing from some of the experts at the company.

Another initiative was the official opening of an onsite community garden - an area developed to provide a green space for meetings and for relaxing during lunch breaks.

The Haverhill site specialises in a number of areas including the development of products used to treat patients on kidney dialysis.

Site head Jim Moretta said: “I am so proud of what the Haverhill site and its employees have achieved over the last 35 years. We recognise the responsibilities we have for the people we treat and our employees, as well as the important role we play in the local community,”
