Industry ambassadors are helping to promote the wide range of career opportunities in agriculture.
EDGE Apprenticeships in Food & Farming has recruited and trained 70 ambassadors from across the land-based sectors over the past six months to spread the word about the wide range careers in food and farming.
They visit schools, events and youth groups on a volunteer basis to share their experience and knowledge of the industry.
“Having real people, who can talk about real jobs, is invaluable,” said project co-ordinator Ann Steward.
