A farming charity is staging a fundraising concert featuring favourites from the musicals at Long Melford parish church on Saturday, April 8.

The candlelit event, which starts at 7pm and is supported by Scutchers Restaurant, NFU Mutual and John Coleman Butchers, is in aid of Farming Community Network (FCN), which offers support to farmers in times of stress.

FCN regional director Keith Davis said: “The concert promises to be great fun. The four professional singers - my wife is the soprano - have put together a programme of favourites from the musicals, opera and Gilbert & Sullivan and I know that they are looking forward to performing their selection which includes several light-hearted numbers.”

Tickets are priced £15, including light refreshments during the interval. They are available from the Theatre Royal Box Office on 01284 769505 or email booking@theatreroyal.org.
