The Brook Hotel in Felxistowe has been accepted as a member of the Best Western branding scheme for quality independent hotels.

In a final appraisal by the Best Western audit team, the hotel achieved a 99% approval score, with 80% being the threshold for acceptance.

General manager Madis Neemelo said: “We have invested heavily in the Brook Hotel Felixstowe over the last five years and every aspect of the hotel looks superb, including front of house, bedrooms, restaurant and bar.

“Our food and customer service have been key to our success but this major branding will attract new business, leisure and wedding clientele to the area.”

“The standards Best Western require are continually improving and they are increasingly more selective as to whom they choose as their partners. Exterior branding and signage will be completed in the next few weeks but we have an artist’s impression as to how it will look.

“As part of the Best Western hotel family, we remain an independent operator. However, Best Western branding will attract new visitors to Felixstowe and benefit not only our hotel, but suppliers and Felixstowe as a whole.”

He added: “We have another three-star hotel, the Brook Hotel Norwich, which joined Best Western last year, and the partnership has made a huge difference. We are proud and excited Felixstowe will offer national and international visitors a recognised and branded hotel and undoubtedly, attract a new type of traveller to the area.”
