Fisher Jones Greenwood Solicitors (FJG), particularly known in Essex for its expertise in family law, has eight practice area rankings, three leading individuals and nine next generation partners in the 2022 edition of the Legal 500.

Published annually, the Legal 500 is a globally-recognised and independent listing of the highest-rated legal firms and lawyers in specific regions.

FJG's family law team retains its Tier 1 success, having celebrated a landmark 10-year top-level ranking last year. The Legal 500 described the team as “delivering high-quality advice across a multitude of areas, including divorce and family finance, public and private children law, and matters concerning cohabitees”. Cases involving trusts of land and domestic abuse are also a strength.

Testimonials described the family team as one “that can resolve an issue at speed and with a high degree of legal expertise”, and “clients come away feeling they have been served a Rolls Royce service”. Simon Osborn, head of the family department, continues his recognition as a leading individual.

The commercial property team remains ranked as Tier 1. It is noted for being “particularly strong in land development work, although its real estate practice is also highly regarded in other areas, such as real estate finance, investment acquisitions and disposals, property portfolio transactions and commercial leasing”. Testimonials describe the team as “having full in-house capability, which ensures a high quality of service”. Keeley Millar and Leon Pascal are recognised as next generation partners.

FJG’s commercial litigation, immigration, wills, life planning and probate teams are ranked at Tier 2. Susanne Grimwade, head of the private client team, is recognised as a leading individual whilst “the extremely hardworking and effective” Ashlee Campbell is recognised as a next generation partner.

The corporate and commercial, employment law and personal injury teams are recognised with a Tier 3 ranking, with senior partner, Tony Fisher, remaining a leading individual.

Named in the 2022 edition for the first time, FJG’s personal injury team has a “strong profile among clients located in Essex and further afield elsewhere, with its team demonstrating strong capabilities in a wide range of complex personal injury and medical negligence claims”.
