Richard Maisonpierre, quality manager at Greene King, said: “We’re proud of the calibre of our products and of our reputation for brewing beers that drinkers and customers can trust.

“We’re delighted that our commitment has been recognised in this year’s Monde Selection and gold medals across the board show that whether we’re brewing the nation’s favourite beers or crafting new ones, quality is paramount in our breweries every step of the way.”

The Craft Academy, a brewing venture led by apprentices and supported by Greene King, also achieved a gold medal for its black IPA, Bittersweet.

The Monde Selection is held annually by the International Quality Institute and every product entered is evaluated by an independent panel of experts across a range of measures, from taste to labelling to innovation.
