Local business leaders are invited to hear the fascinating story behind one of Suffolk’s most iconic brands, Aspall Cyder. Barry Chevallier Guild, former chairman of Aspall Cyder, will be guest speaker at the Ipswich Suffolk Business Club lunch on Thursday 6 September, hosted by Milsoms at Kesgrave Hall. Corporate supporters of the Ipswich Suffolk Business Club events are Milsoms, Genesis PR and Greene King.

Barry Chevallier Guild will be speaking of his momentous journey with Aspall Cyder, how he built the brand, and his mixed emotions on selling the family business in a multi-million-pound deal to international brewing giant Molson Coors.

Aspall Cyder – a family-run business for eight generations – was started by Clement Chevallier at Aspall Hall in 1728.

Barry will also be speaking about his new role at Aspall Cyder as a brand ambassador and consultant. Barry is seen as the ‘conscience’ of the business and will support Molson Coors with the brand’s strategic direction.

Luke Morris, chair of the Ipswich Suffolk Business Club, said: “We look forward to welcoming Barry Chevallier Guild and hearing the fascinating story behind the Aspall Cyder business first-hand.”
