Near-perfect weather has brought thousands of extra visitors through the gates – boosting the record numbers who had bought tickets online before the event.

Yesterday’s crowds were some of the biggest seen at the event for many years, and today’s numbers look set to be equally impressive.

New Suffolk Agricultural Association chief executive Nicola Bateman – attending her first show – was left in no doubt that this weather would be expected at the event from now on!

Among the unusual highlights in the Grand Ring have been the Devil’s Horsemen display by the team of Cossacks.
