TRINITY Park's gates finally opened this morning for the much awaited Suffolk Show, with tens of thousands of visitors expected at the annual attraction.
Exhibitors at the two-day event, at the showground in Ipswich, spent yesterday and this morning putting the finishing touches to the show.
Following yesterday's wind and rain, fingers were crossed that the weather would improve for the first day of the event which is organised by the Suffolk Agricultural Association.
With the rain holding off, judging began as early as 6.45am when the dairy goats were under the spotlight, with the trade stands being inspected not long after.
The first attraction in the Grand Ring was a show jumping speed derby, with Suffolk horses attracting the crowds to the president's ring at around the same time.
The show promises something for all ages with a fun fair, fairground rides, food and drink stands, an art show, a flower and garden display and a sports area with skateboarding, trampolining and cycling skills.
