GAYLE Oliver has been appointed business relationships leader for manufacturers' organisation EEF in the south east with a remit to help regional manufacturers access the support they need to weather the current economic storm.

She takes up this new role at a time when manufacturers across the South East are facing extremely challenging trading conditions.

"Now is just the time for businesses to make the most of the support that is available through organisations such as EEF," she said.

"As well as providing extensive support in areas such as employment law and health and safety, our specialists are also able to make a real difference to the operational performances of manufacturers - and to add real value to the bottom line. My role is to ensure that we help our members access this support and advice."

Ms Oliver comes to this role with over 10 years' experience in working with customers in a wide variety of public and private sector organisations. She has a proven track record in project management and consultancy.

She lives in Frimley, Surrey, with her husband Colin and is an Arsenal supporter who attends most home games. She also enjoys watching stand-up comedy, painting, photography and travelling.
