UK forestry and landscaping company UPM Tilhill has appointed Geoff Edwards as district manager for its Anglia district.
Mr Edwards takes over from Rupert Pearson, who retired as district manager of the Anglia and Chilterns District in February 2008.
The two districts have been separated to allow greater expansion of the business across the regions.
Mr Edwards, who joined the company, based in Kent, in March 2006 as commercial contracts manager, has 20 years' experience in the horticultural industry.
“It's great to be heading up the new Anglia district,” he said.
“I aim to build on and expand our core team market experience in forest management, ecological and environmental mitigation, timber harvesting, highways landscaping and maintenance, and commercial and industrial landscaping.”
