HOUSEBUILDER Bellway Essex has appointed George Baffoe-Djan as land manager.

He joins from Kings Oak Homes where he was land manager responsible for developments mainly in north London and Hertfordshire. During his time there, he secured sites for more than 900 homes in Greater London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex.

Keen to get going in the house building business from an early age, George cut his teeth with Galliard homes, working part time during his school and university career. He graduated from Queen Mary, University of London with a degree in computer science, and went on to study structural engineering at University College London, graduating in 2004.

Land director Phil Standen said they were “delighted” to have him on board.

“His knowledge of the area will be instrumental in building on the success of previous Bellway Essex developments,” he said.

National housebuilder Bellway's Essex division, based in Chelmsford, covers Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.
