Gin liqueurs made from fruit hand-picked from Tiptree Farm in Essex will be featured on Tesco shelves in the county on Saturday, June 9, to celebrate World Gin Day.

Fifteen of the supermarket chain’s stores in Essex, made from combining the fruit with small-batch London Dry Gin produced by gin distillers Hayman’s, will be stocking the liqueurs.

Tesco local sourcing manager Steven Brooks said: “We are always on the hunt for exceptional produce made by local suppliers and it’s our mission to stock the cream of the crop. These liqueurs tick all the boxes, produced locally by companies with many years of expertise.”

Scott Goodfellow, joint mManaging director at Tiptree-based Wilkin & Sons, said: “We’re very proud to see our products on shelves in local Tesco stores.

“We recommend the liqueurs enjoyed straight over ice, with your favourite mixer, or added to Prosecco or Champagne for a sparkling Tiptree Fruit Gin Royale.”
