Graham Beattie joined the Colchester branch as a remittance clerk in 1980. He moved within the bank to Huntingdonshire, took his banker's exam and moved to Cambridge as a commercial officer.
Mr Beattie said: “I am very proud to be working for HSBC in Bury and am looking forward to taking on the challenges and building on the opportunities that this position brings. I am keen to build on the relationships we have with our customers and helping them find solutions and opportunities to help them build their companies.”
Outside of work, Mr Beattie is keen on history and heritage and has a particular interest in the Crimean War and the American Civil War.
Mr Parkin also joined the bank as a remittance clerk, starting at the Mansfield branch in 1978. He held jobs in Nottingham, Chesterfield, and Sutton in Ashfield and then Skegness, where he was business banking officer. In 1995, he joined Spilsby branch as a retail branch manager and stayed there until 2000 when he was promoted to assistant manager at HSBC's larger branch in Bury before moving into the commercial sector as commercial manager in 2004.
