AUTHOR, broadcaster, entertainer and former MP Gyles Brandreth is to be the host at this year’s Anglian Business Awards ceremony next month.
The prolific broadcaster, who has appeared as a guest presenter on Have I Got News for You, a panellist on QI and a reporter on The One Show, is also an acclaimed author of children’s books, murder mysteries and royal biographies.
As MP for the City of Chester from 1992 to 1997, he also produced a political diary, Breaking the Code.
As a performer, he has most recently been seen in Zipp! One Hundred Musicals for Less Than the Price of One, in London and on tour around the UK and as Malvolio and the Sea Captain in Twelfth Night The Musical at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The Anglian Business Awards, organised by the East Anglian Daily Times with tourism and inward investment body Choose Suffolk as main sponsor, take place at Trinity Park, Ipswich, on Thursday, July 8.
