A Swedish bank with a branch in Bury St Edmunds is celebrating an accolade from customers.
Handelsbanken was rated top for customer satisfaction and loyalty for the ninth year running in an independent survey of British banks’ personal and business customers by European research institution EPSI Rating. The bank, which says it believes local branches are best-placed to make all decisions relating to customers at its 207 sites across the UK, gives staff power to agree individual product terms and pricing, free from targets or bonus incentives.
Bury St Edmunds branch manager Nigel Foyster, part of a team of eight bankers, said: “The results of this year’s survey are extremely encouraging and truly reflect our passion to deliver the highest possible level of customer service in an honest and transparent way.”
The bank operates more than 800 branches in more than 20 countries worldwide.
