Haulage company James Kemball has opened a new loaded container storage depot at the Port of Felixstowe.

The initial capacity of the site at Clickett Hill Road is in excess of 1600 loaded containers, which will allow the business to expand its operations.

Four new members of staff have been recruited at the depot and there are plans to build this to a team of ten over the coming year.

The company has also invested in the latest Kalmar reachstackers, which it says offer Felixstowe’s largest container weight lifting capacity outside the port.

Commercial director of James Kemball, Darren Walne said: “This investment is very much part of our overall strategic plan to add value. Not only will it help us to grow our client base but will provide a fantastic new service for current clients and the ability for them to streamline their supply chain and reduce their quay storage costs.”
