CALL handling company Call Connection has underlined its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees with a Healthy Workplace award from national healthcare provider HealthSure.

The award recognises companies that take a proactive approach to workplace health and demonstrate a genuine commitment to the day to day wellbeing of their employees.

Ipswich-based Call Connection received the accreditation for providing all of its 360-strong team with access to everyday essential healthcare through a company-paid HealthSure health plan.

All employees are now able to claim money towards a wide range of important health treatments and checks such as an eye test or new glasses from the optician, check ups or fillings at the dentist, physiotherapy and a range of complementary therapies. There is also access to a confidential 24 hour helpline.

Besides the HealthSure health plan, Call Connection - which was named Business of the Year in the EADT's 2007 Anglian Business Awards - also provides all employees with gym membership and free fresh fruit.

Alison Flack, HR manager at Call Connection, said: “We are delighted to be recognised in this way by HealthSure. The lifeblood of our business, our employees are important to us and we are always keen to help them look after themselves.

“By providing our employees with a HealthSure health plan, we have made it easier for them to access important regular health checks and take better care of themselves.

“With HealthSure, health and wellbeing in our workplace is less of a worry.”

Lucy Pinson, business consultant at HealthSure, who presented the award, said: “It is great to see how employee health and wellbeing is being so proactively approached at Call Connection.”
